小任班长 3 月 1 日消息，我国“天问一号”任务祝融号火星车在其着陆区 —— 火星乌托邦平原南部，通过搭载的次表层探测雷达（RoPeR）数据，首次在该区域约 15 米深度发现了一层厚度约 7 米的特殊物质层。

该物质层表现出低损耗的物理特性，其介电性质与含水冰混合物相符。研究人员结合数值模拟、频率分析和光谱数据综合分析，推测该层为含有少量岩石碎块的“脏冰”层，即水冰与火星土壤、碎石的混合物。这一发现为火星中低纬度地区浅表层存在水冰提供了直接观测证据，对理解火星历史水循环过程及未来原位资源开发利用具有重要意义。

火星水冰的分布状况是研究其气候演变历史和评估未来资源利用潜力的关键因素。此前大量证据表明火星水冰主要富集在极区和中高纬度地带。然而，在气候相对温和、更适宜未来探测活动的中低纬度区域，特别是像乌托邦平原这样的大型盆地内，浅层地下冰是否存在、以及以何种形态存在，一直是科学界待解的问题。“天问一号”选择着陆于乌托邦平原南部，该区域广泛分布着可能指示古代水活动的特殊地质特征，为探索这一问题提供了有利条件。

针对这一发现，研究团队提出了一个可能的演化模型：在火星公转轨道倾角较大的历史时期，水冰可能以霜或积雪的形式在中低纬度地区聚集，并与火星土壤和尘埃混合，形成最初的“脏冰”层。随后的气候变化过程中，风沙活动（风成过程）在该冰层上覆盖了厚厚的风化层沉积物。这层覆盖物有效地抑制了冰的完全升华消失，使其得以长期保存至今。研究认为，当前该冰层仍在经历缓慢的退化过程，其空间分布上厚度的不均匀性可能反映了这一退化状态。同时，冰层可能通过裂隙等通道向上输送水蒸气，影响表层物质的组成成分。

此次在祝融号着陆区发现浅层地下冰的证据，支持了火星中低纬度地区存在此类水冰的观点。这些冰层可被视为未来火星探测任务中进行原位资源利用的潜在对象。该发现深化了科学界对火星水文和气候历史的认识，为后续的火星探测规划乃至载人火星任务提供了重要的科学参考依据。
