10月16日，国际医学学术期刊《柳叶刀》（The Lancet）（IF=24.446）刊登了国药集团中国生物北京生物制品研究所和中国疾病预防控制中心联合研制的新冠灭活疫苗I/II期临床试验结果。研究结果显示，有效诱导产生中和抗体 ，具有良好的免疫原性，疫苗引起的中和抗体可以中和多种病毒株，包括当前带有突变体的大流行自然变异株（D614G）。在人体安全性好，主要是注射部位疼痛，其次是发热，但均为轻微和自限式的，不需任何治疗。目前，Ⅲ期临床试验正在有序进行。
